The Organizing Committee of China International Fair for Investment and Trade （CIFIT ） cordially welcomes you to the 12th CIFIT during September 8-11, 2008 in Xiamen, China.

With a track record of 11 successful sessions, the State Council-approved CIFIT is one of the world’s largest events for international investment promotion and the only investment event approved by UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry), attracting more than 10,000 overseas visitors from over 100 countries and regions annually.

CIFIT is sponsored by China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), co-sponsored by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Organization for Economic Cooperation & Development (OECD), International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA), and China Council for International Investment Promotion (CCIIP). CIFIT is organized by Fujian Provincial Government, Xiamen Municipal Government, and Investment Promotion Agency of Ministry of Commerce of the PRC. The 52 CIFIT members from provincial governments throughout China, relevant state departments and some national trade associations as well as Hong Kong and Macau each SAR Governments are actively involved in CIFIT by sending delegations and attending various pro-investment activities. CIFIT showcases investment environments across China, presents investment policies, and promotes business and investment projects and enterprise products. With an ever-increasing international influence, CIFIT is grabbing the attention of a increasing number of developed and developing countries and numerous international economic organizations, which actively participate in the conferences and exhibition at the Fair. CIFIT is not only the premier platform for China to attract FDI and for Chinese enterprisers to go global, but also a vital platform for various countries and regions around the world to showcase their investment climates and to select from the widest range of invest projects and business partners; additionally, it’s a platform to feel the pulses of international capital flows and share business opportunities across the world.

During the 12th CIFIT, the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC will continue to host the “International Investment Forum”. The Ministry of Commerce and relevant state departments and many overseas economic organizations and institutions will present series of forums and seminars on hot investment issues, which feature key-note speeches by China’s state leaders, dignitaries from foreign governments, eminent economists, and executives from multinationals.

The 11th CIFIT attracted a total of 13158 overseas visitors from 119 countries and regions, and 415 institutions and enterprises from 93 countries and regions sent delegations to the Fair. The 12th CIFIT will continue to provide services for global investment and trade cooperation through exhibitions and displays, project briefings and talks, policy discussions and consultancy, and information releases.
